9 Yards Placement was founded by Tennille Carver. After numerous years in the Telecom Construction environment she recognized the need for something different; a relational approach to get the job done while valuing people, history and skills. 9 Yards Placement is not just another company that fills seats, we want to hear the story, the dreams, the goals and the need. We will match those needs with like-minded people or companies where we can all thrive and contribute in a fantastic environment.


The story of our name: 

9 Yards Placement, our very name reflects who we are and what we do perfectly... 

"The whole nine yards" or "The full nine yards" is an American English phrase meaning "everything, the whole lot" or "all the way, giving everything”. This phrase dates back to World War two era and references fighter pilots returning from missions. When asked how the fight went, often the response included, “We gave them the full nine yards!”,  which was in reference to 27 feet, (totaling 9 yards) of ammo in each wing of the plane.

Tennille carver

    Tennille has been in the people business for nearly 25 years, first in the Non Profit Sector building and directing a professional Christian Ballet Company and School of the Arts. She ambitiously took on every role including; administrator, recruiter, mentor and discipleship leader. 

    After retiring from the ministry, Tennille moved to the Corporate sector with SEFNCO Communications, building the Recruiting department which quickly transitioned to their Recruiting Supervisor supporting over 14 locations. In her time with SEFNCO she filled over 2000 positions in just a few years. She also led the Recruiting team, created processes, built relationships with all levels of leadership (including over 40 Hiring Managers). She spearheaded new recruiting initiatives and projects and thought outside the box to find the perfect candidates. Tennille also spent time connecting with numerous technical schools, colleges, military bases and attended nearly 100 job fairs and hiring events up and down the West Coast. She's skilled in multiple roles  including all facets of Telecom Construction, Project Management, Finance, IT as well as Safety positions. 

    Tennille is passionate about building relationships from Candidate to Employer. She believes it's about finding the right fit and strives to perfectly place each candidate in a role where they can thrive as well as make the biggest contribution to the company. She's goal oriented, a high level administrator, a great communicator and is committed to providing outstanding service to each Candidate and Employer.

    Tennille and her husband Joel have 3 teenagers, they love the outdoors, love to travel and spend time around the campfire.
